Chenga Contest
December 3 and 4, 2005

Without a doubt Chenga World Skatepark has been one of the best parks in the country since it opened its doors 10 years ago. But sadly, that 10 year run will come to an end this January when the park shuts down. On December 3rd and 4th Chenga World hosted its final contest. A ton of people showed up and threw down every trick they had. Here are a ton of photos taken by John Jackson over the weekend.

CHECK BACK SOON FOR THE VIDEO!

Dominic Travato, xup footjam nosepick.

Anthony Villani rules.

I'm not sure of his name, but he manualed up this rail a couple of times. He also jumped from the ledge in the background to overgrind the rail.

Dominic Travato with another footjam nosepick variation. This time with the back-end whipped way out.

Hefty abubaca by Mark Potoczny. In case you can't tell in the picture Mark had to jump to the right of the ramp a bit to get into this abubaca, then he had to hop back.

This picture could be of a couple different things. A foot jam tailwhip, or a double footjam tailwhip...? Mike "Hollywood" Brancato placed second.

A massive footdown contest was open to anyone that wanted to enter for a buck a piece, winner take all. This is Tippy. He won all $115 dollars or whatever the pot was. Not bad for a game of footdown.

Unidentified footjam on the subrail.

Tony Neyer nailed a few unfortunate souls in the face with some OPC during footdown. He also pulled this 540 transfer.

Big tuck no-hander by another unidentified rider.

Tony Neyer tailwhipping the same channel he 540'd.

Stewy, 540, disaster, 180 out. Stewy killed it and got 4th.

Lawnmower on the hitching post by Clint Reynolds.

Joel Harding did not land this. This is what happens when you thrust too hard on a griz air.

Whip to fakie, Tony Neyer, again.
