Thomas Arend took a pretty bad spill at the trails the other day, and wound up with a concussion and some serious bruises. But after a week off the bike he should be back in action.

Zach Smith sent me this picture of his brother Nick doin' an x-up whip over one of the hips at the new Flow skatepark.

Click for the Season Soapbox Factory Jam Video

- The Season street jam went down this past weekend and it was a good time for everyone that showed up. We didn't have any good ramps or ledges set up, but thanks to Tony Cherry's craftsmanship we had some pretty fun obstacles to ride. The video is up, click on the picture above to see it. Click here to see photos from the jam taken by Taylor Foiles.

- Filming continues... this past weekend went pretty well, despite the let down in Indiana. Troy, Jon, Casey, Nathan, and myself had planned to find some street in Fort Wayne, but Nathan got mono and we could find a few spots worth riding. So we changed up our plans, rode some spots in Troy and I's old stomping grounds, and the guys followed me back to Toledo. We didn't take a whole lot of photos, but there are a few posted below. I started filming with Dane Wild recently as well. If you wanna see a small sample of the footage so far, check out a few clips of Dane by clicking here.

Slightly curved and little wallride to big tuck. Troy Merkle.

Jon Bechtold likes 2nd stage icepicks lately.

Yours truly barspinnin' while a young child ducks for cover.

Casey Longshore crooked grindin' between the ledge and rail.

Bottom bracket grind?

Toboggan's are fun, try one, you'll be hooked.

Troy gappin' from the ledge to tire bonk the pole.

These last few pictures Troy sent over from a recent OSU session. Tony Cherry table-toppin' out of the curved wall.

Congratulations to the Gremlin on the two page spread for the contents photo in the new BMXPlus! This photo in Plus! is a rail stunt, this obviously is not. Curved wall to barchuck.

We've been filmin' for the DVD every chance we get. It's awesome to have a group of people motivated towards the same project. Casey Longshore, rail to bench.

- One of the greatest things about BMX, to me, is that it's a fairly small community. So when shit hits the fan we band together. I've never met Ken Schneider, but what happened to him shouldn't happen to anybody. If you haven't heard, he's the owner of a bike shop near Cleveland, and just recently someone busted into the shop and nearly beat him to death. Now here's how you can do your part: Visit www.deliveranceclothing.com, read through the past couple of news updates and get the information you need. Scott Towne has posted a paypal link and a couple of addresses where you can send donations. Not only that, but he's bustin' his ass to make shirts and stickers for the cause. All of the proceeds are going to help Mr. Schneider with his medical bills and the losses from the robbery. Even if you're a poor college student like myself, every bit helps. Get to it!
